Portfolio thesis

Our Portfolio Thesis

Every VIPCare Health portfolio company should contribute to a better end-to-end patient and caregiver experience.

That may mean improving clinical outcomes, making care easier to access, coordinating care more effectively, reducing delays, improving communication, supporting family caregivers, or removing burdens that keep clinicians from focusing on patients.

We do not treat this as a marketing promise. It guides how we allocate capital, operating resources, technology, relationships, and leadership attention. We favor opportunities that can demonstrate meaningful and measurable improvements in how care is experienced and delivered.

Three pillars

What every portfolio company should contribute.

01

Better Patient and Caregiver Experiences

Develop companies that make care easier to understand, access, navigate, receive, and continue over time. Recognize the needs of family members and other caregivers who often carry a large share of the responsibility.

02

Better Outcomes

Support solutions that improve clinical, functional, financial, safety, access, or quality-of-life outcomes. Require each portfolio company to define the outcomes it intends to influence and how progress will be measured.

03

Less Burden on Clinicians

Reduce unnecessary administrative work, fragmented workflows, repeated data entry, poor coordination, cognitive overload, and other friction that takes clinicians away from patient care.

Operating principle

Make the Right Thing to Do,
The Easy Thing to Do

Healthcare professionals often know what should be done, but complicated workflows, limited time, administrative requirements, disconnected systems, missing information, and poor incentives can make the right action difficult.

VIPCare Health favors businesses that redesign these conditions. The goal is not simply to ask clinicians to work harder, remember more, or complete another task. It is to create systems, services, technologies, and operating models in which the best action for the patient is also the clearest and easiest action for the care team.

Reducing unnecessary burden is not only a wellness question. It increases the capacity, reliability, safety, and humanity of patient care.

Measurement

Meaningful and Measurable Impact

Each portfolio company should define a small set of practical measures connecting business performance to improvements in care. The exact measures will vary by company.

01Better Outcomes

  • Clinical or functional outcomes
  • Time to diagnosis, treatment, or follow-up
  • Preventable complications or avoidable utilization
  • Patient understanding and adherence

02Better Patient and Caregiver Experiences

  • Patient and caregiver experience
  • Access to care
  • Care coordination and continuity
  • Affordability and financial burden
  • Health equity and access across different populations

03Less Burden on Clinicians

  • Clinician time returned to patient care
  • Administrative steps eliminated
  • Staff workload and burnout indicators

These are measurement principles we intend to use when selecting, supporting, and operating companies. They are not results we claim to have produced.
